Hi Y’all! I’m Emily. I am very excited to join you on the mat at Roll Out! I began teaching yoga in 2017 after being certified through Breathe for Change. In 2019 I was certified through YogaEd. to teach children’s yoga and am currently studying with Breathing Deeply to obtain a certification in Yoga Therapy. I was an elementary school teacher for 7 years and had the amazing privilege of teaching yoga at my campus and helping to train teachers how to incorporate breathing, movement, and social emotional learning into their classrooms.
I am trained in Vinyasa and like to incorporate Yin poses in some of my sequences. I’ve played sports my whole life and am most consistently a runner (when I’m not doing yoga). Yoga helped me deal with mental illness and recover from and prevent sport injuries. As an instructor, I like finding unique ways to help students feel better in their body and mind. I’m usually all smiles and like to keep my classes lighthearted and leave you feeling stretched out and refreshed for the rest of your day. You’ll get a lot of giggles from me, so when we make mistakes together, we will laugh it off and try again.
I hope that I can bring some peace and self-discovery to you when you take my classes. I am a firm believer in yoga on and off the mat and hope that you will be able to carry your intentions set on the mat into the rest of your day. See you in the studio!
