JACKIE
I started practicing yoga over 20 years ago in the comfort of my living room with a yoga video. What started out as a way to cope with back pain and avoid surgery, turned into a journey toward a healthier lifestyle. The power yoga flow classes felt amazing and was such a great fit with my personality. I craved a challenge, and it delivered. I left feeling stronger and energized and wanted to deepen my knowledge about yoga.
In 2016, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with LifePower Yoga, a program created by Jonny Kest. Since then, I have taught over 1,000 classes, opened Roll Out Yoga, and led our Yoga Teacher Training program. I am an eternal student of the practice and am always looking for ways to enhance and expand my teaching.
I have an educational background in Clinical Psychology and worked in private practice for several years. My training and experience in mental health inspires my yoga teaching by quietly guiding members to a greater connection between their body and mind. The feeling of mental clarity right after a vigorous physical yoga practice just can’t be beat!
In my flow classes, I love to combine creative sequencing of yoga poses and non-traditional movement modalities to provide an opportunity for a fun, well-rounded and challenging practice. You will leave feeling balanced, nourished, accomplished, and renewed.
Staying active is a priority for me, not only for longevity in life, but also longevity in the activities that I enjoy. When I’m not practicing yoga, I am training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, strength training, playing pickleball, or running. Yoga is a wonderful compliment to all of these activities!
I look forward to seeing you in class!
