Krystah
My passion for yoga came through personal practice. As a Navy veteran, I found myself needing help physically to fix all of the ailments I left the service with. Little did I know of all the emotional and mental benefits yoga would offer in my personal healing journey.
As a mother, I needed to heal a Diastasis Recti after the birth of my second child. After careful research I found Mamalates for recovery in 2015. This program taught me how to close the gap and help others from physical trauma in birth including cesarean recovery. As a birth and postpartum doula, I wanted to offer physical support to my clients. After earning my Mamalates certification, I took on prenatal yoga certification through Nature’s Whisper 100 hour program in 2016. From there, my personal practice and desire to further help the families I served brought me to their 200 hr program in 2017. In 2019 I certified as a Connected Warrior instructor gaining valuable information and teaching skills to assist our veterans and their families. This training taught trauma based instruction for those suffering from PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and mobility restrictions due to injuries suffered in training. I earned my last training in 2019 with Shauna MacKay for Restorative Yoga. With over 400 hours of collective training I offer a wide range of styles.
Additionally as an herbalist and Alternative Medicine Practitioner, I offer a wide range of education in nutrition, medicine and whole body health. I live an active lifestyle am constantly riding on the wave that life offers to us.
When you come to my class know that I am human just like you. I stumble and lose my balance, I drop swear words when frustrated, I listen to country and snoop dog and I am unapologetically myself. My passion lives and breathes through every intentional word, movement or piece of music you will hear in my class. You will feel powerful through movement, leave sweat on the mat, maybe some tears when you land that pose you've been wanting to try. You’ll laugh and feel connection. With me you leave your worries at the door and find yourself.
I see you. I hear you. I honor you.
